Overview
EF is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher to join our Dublin International Language Campus and contribute to our mission of opening the world through education.
Position: English Teacher at EF Language Abroad (Dublin). Timesheets apply. Schedule: Monday – Friday; up to 32 hours per week. ASAP start.
Your Role
* Plan and deliver General English and Special Interest (SPIN) courses as directed by the DOS or ADOS
* Plan and deliver lectures on a rota basis
* Choose appropriate supplementary material and topics for your classes. These must at all times demonstrate sensitivity to the multi-cultural and multi-ethnic student population in EF schools
* Cover absent colleagues as requested by the DOS or ADOS
* Participate in peer observation programmes
* Attend and contribute to staff meetings (weekly)
* Input grades for students in iTracker on a fortnightly basis
* Write student reports when required
* Administer tests to the class when necessary and to mark them and return all documents to DOS or ADOS
* Be an ambassador for EF and its products, methods and materials
* Maintain necessary paperwork as directed by the school administration and carry out administrative duties accordingly
* Maintain accurate electronic registers and input student attendance daily into the EF database in accordance with EF policy
* Comply with all health and safety regulations as directed by the Health and Safety Officer
Requirements
* CELTA / equivalent qualification
* Degree
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Passion for international education and student success
* Highly organized with attention to detail
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
* All offers are subject to a clear Garda check and two references
* Legally able to work in Ireland at commencement of employment
