The Role
We’re seeking an experienced and visionary Director of ERP Systems to lead the strategy, governance, and performance optimization of our ERP platforms — including SAP, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), and Business Central.
In this senior leadership role, you’ll drive the alignment of ERP systems with organizational goals, ensuring seamless integration and performance across all business units. You’ll oversee the management, enhancement, and scalability of these mission-critical systems, enabling our operational and financial ambitions and supporting ongoing digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
* Define and drive the ERP strategy in line with business objectives and long-term vision.
* Evaluate and recommend ERP solutions, upgrades, or replacements.
* Champion ERP-led digital transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
Governance & Oversight
* Establish frameworks for ERP usage, ensuring standardization, compliance, and risk management.
* Oversee budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
* Ensure system performance, scalability, and security while maintaining business continuity.
* Lead enterprise-wide ERP projects, including new implementations and cross-functional integrations.
* Collaborate with business units to identify system improvements and validate ROI on ERP projects.
* Ensure adequate resources are available for successful project delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as the link between business leaders and IT teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
* Partner with executives to plan ERP enhancements that support growth.
* Provide thought leadership on ERP trends and best practices.
Team Management
* Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing ERP team.
* Promote innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Oversee training and development to maximize ERP adoption and effectiveness.
* Strategic thinking and business acumen.
* Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management.
* Strong financial and contract management expertise.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills.
* Results-oriented, with a focus on innovation.
* Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
* Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., GxP, GDPR, SOX).
* Deep understanding of financial management, supply chain, and ERP-supported processes.
Travel ✈️ Regular travel across Europe and the US will be required.
Qualifications & Experience
* 15+ years in ERP management, including senior leadership experience.
* Exposure to systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite.
* 4+ years in a commercial role.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
* Professional ERP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate, Oracle Cloud Certification).
* Experience with cloud-based ERP platforms and digital transformation initiatives.
