Job Title: Clinical Specialist Radiographer PET CT
The role of a clinical specialist radiographer PET CT is multifaceted and challenging, requiring expertise in managing day-to-day service delivery. This includes leading and guiding radiographic staff to ensure efficient workflow management.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and undertake additional duties as assigned. They must also maintain professional competence in other areas of the department.
* To manage PET CT patients effectively in conjunction with the RSM and the CT Clinical Specialist.
* Lead on radiation safety associated with the nuclear medicine processes within PET CT.
* Manage and develop the PET CT QA programme and Nuclear Medicine Lab QA programme.
* Be proactive in supporting the Radiology team.
* Help in the organisation and co-ordination of the workflow within the department.
* Keep abreast in understanding and knowledge of all new developments which are applicable to PETCT Imaging.
* Offer help and advice to more junior members of staff.
* Be responsible for and take care of all equipment including auxiliary equipment and operate such equipment as required by the treatment plan in a proper and safe manner.
* The dispensing and administration of FDG or other isotope following appropriate patient preparation screening and assessment including IV cannulation.
