You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring equipment reliability and operational excellence.This role involves both preventative and reactive maintenance within a regulated manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Technical SupportMaintain manufacturing process equipment to ensure optimal operational performance.Maintain facilities systems and controlled environments.Respond to equipment breakdowns with thorough fault-finding, diagnostics, repair, and improvement actions.Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities on time.Conduct critical and non-critical equipment calibration.Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.Implement engineering upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.Compliance & DocumentationMaintain accurate and compliant maintenance records within the Quality Management System.Ensure all work is performed in line with established quality, safety, and environmental standards.Oversee external contractors completing servicing and calibration.Maintain workplace safety and ensure correct procedures are followed at all times.Team & DevelopmentParticipate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule.Supervise and mentor an electrical apprentice.Collaborate with cross-functional teams across manufacturing and facilities.Demonstrate a proactive approach to further training and professional development.Candidate ProfileEssential RequirementsElectrical trade qualification or Electrical Engineering qualification (Craft level or higher) – Industrial/Commercial.Strong working knowledge of:Electro-mechanical systemsPneumaticsHeating systemsMotor control and Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)Experience with PLCs and HMIs.Ability to read and troubleshoot:Ladder logicFunction block programmingElectrical and mechanical schematicsExperience in machine automation (relays, load cells, sensors, switches).Knowledge of fire alarm, security, and network systems.Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and take ownership of decisions.Strong documentation and computer skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.High standards of housekeeping and workshop organisation.Full ownership of electrical systems, equipment, and spare parts management.Desirable (Not Essential)Instrumentation experience.ATEX (vapours) experience.Why Apply?Join a stable and reputable manufacturing environment.Strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.Opportunity to develop technically and professionally.Varied role covering manufacturing and facilities systems.Supportive team environment.
