Researcher Position in Laser Power Conversion
This role is focused on the development and implementation of innovative designs for efficient conversion of laser light to electrical power.
* About the Role
We are seeking a researcher with expertise in photonic devices, communications, electrical/electronic engineering, or a related field to contribute to our team's research goals. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of publication in leading journals and conferences.
* Responsibilities
o Design and simulate novel III-V photovoltaic devices
o Develop robust process flows for device fabrication, ensuring risk management and high-quality results
o Fabricate devices using appropriate in-line testing techniques
o Characterize the electro-optic performance of the devices
o Publish research findings in top-tier journals and present at prominent conferences
o Explore new ideas and develop innovative solutions
o Support mentoring activities within the group and participate in education and public engagement activities as needed
* Requirements
o PhD degree in a relevant discipline (Photonic devices, Communications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering)
o At least 2 years of experience working with compound semiconductor devices
o Strong knowledge of device design, processing, and characterization
o A good publication record in IEEE and/or Optica journals and conference publications
