Job Title: Senior Speech And Language Therapist
Our hospital is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team in an acute hospital setting. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to take on a senior role, supporting adults with complex communication and swallowing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality patient-centred care, providing leadership within the SLT team and promoting excellent communication standards.
* Contribute to service development across the hospital by working closely with multidisciplinary teams and sharing best practices.
* Provide specialist input into the management of dysphagia/feeding, eating, drinking and swallowing disorders through evidence-based assessment and intervention strategies.
* Work closely as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care that prioritises patient outcomes and promotes quality improvement initiatives.
* Supervise and support staff grade therapists and students, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure their continued professional growth and development.
Requirements:
* Hold a recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy from a reputable institution.
* Be CORU registered as a Speech and Language Therapist.
* Have a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in the area of dysphagia/acute care.
* Possess certification and competence in the management of dysphagia.
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with a professional approach to work.
