Shaw Commercials is the Renault Trucks Dealer for the West / North West of Ireland. Our business is expanding and we are seeking a motivated and experienced Truck Sales Executive to cover the Mid-West and North West of Ireland, promoting and selling our range of new and used commercial vehicles. This is a field-based role that requires a strong understanding of the truck and transport industry, excellent customer relationship skills, and the drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within your territory.
* Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers in the transport, construction, agriculture, and logistics sectors.
* Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, presentations, vehicle demonstrations, quoting, and closing deals.
* Collaborate with internal teams (finance, aftersales, workshop) to ensure smooth delivery and aftersales service.
* Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and new product launches.
* Attend trade shows, networking events, and customer visits regularly across the Region and overseas as required.
* Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets and reporting KPIs to management.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in truck, commercial vehicle, or heavy machinery sales (3+ years preferred).
* Strong knowledge of truck specifications, commercial transport needs, and industry regulations.
* Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
* Full clean driving licence (HGV licence a bonus but not essential).
* Willingness to travel regularly across the region.
Desirable:
* Background in automotive, logistics, construction equipment, or transport industry.
* CRM or sales software experience.
* Familiarity with brands such as Scania, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, DAF, Renault Trucks, or Iveco.
Salary quoted is all-inclusive of benefits and commission. Competitive salary and commission not capped for the right candidate.
