The role will support the Head of Finance in delivering high-quality financial insight, driving cost control, and improving operational performance across the business.Role Requirements and Responsibilities:Lead the quarterly forecasting process, including ongoing monthly and weekly forecast updates.Analyse monthly financial performance, providing clear commentary on variances to forecast and key drivers of results.Support the analysis and tracking of US tariff costs.Partner closely with the Head of Finance to respond to ad-hoc financial analysis and business requests.Track and report on direct labour variances to standard costs across four production facilities.Develop operational performance reports and provide financial insight and support to the production teams.Play a key role in the annual budgeting process.Perform detailed margin analysis, identifying and explaining variances to expected costs.Support the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to enhance financial reporting and improve reporting processes.Manage day-to-day financial queries across the business while meeting tight reporting deadlines.Minimum Requirements and Skills:ACA / ACCA / CPA / CIMA qualified with 2–3 years’ experience in a manufacturing finance role.Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and cost accounting.Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.Strong analytical ability with high attention to detail and sound judgement.Demonstrated ability to improve processes and working procedures.Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Experience using ERP systemsWhy Hanley Energy:Launchpad for Your Career: Joining Hanley Energy means stepping into a world of endless opportunities.
