Company Description
Seraph is an operational strategy consulting firm that helps leaders in manufacturing, distribution, and industrial businesses solve their most challenging problems. Whether we are launching a brand-new electric vehicle, relocating production lines, or managing the operational impacts of geopolitical actions, Seraph's consultants help executives move faster by creating clear plans of action and driving execution.
A key part of developing and maintaining relationships with client executives is our research and analysis.
We publish industry research that executives actually read, and this role owns that work end-to-end.
Success and growth in this role will come from genuine curiosity about business and industry, applied with a rigorous, client-first analytical toolkit. You will consistently generate original topic ideas that matter to executives, then execute them into well-organized, easy-to-understand deliverables that make CEOs say, "That was interesting and useful, I should talk with Seraph."
Put simply, success in the role will be driven by three core capabilities:
1.
Genuine business and industry interest.
Some of our best work starts with spotting something interesting in the news and thinking, "We should dig deeper on this." We are looking for someone who reads widely, stays current, and brings that curiosity to their work.
2.
Ability to generate unique ideas.
This is the hardest part of producing great industry reports. You should be able to identify a trending topic and independently brainstorm the right analysis, survey, or perspective that will produce insight.
3.
Ability to test and quantify those ideas.
Execution is what turns ideas into value. This includes hard skills (data analysis and visualization) and, more importantly, soft skills (persistence, judgment, and creativity). Someone who is driven and takes pride in their work will learn the technical skills needed to deliver.
Responsibilities:
* Publish an insight on Seraph's LinkedIn and website on a relevant industry topic.
* Complete a detailed sector report. You'll survey consultants, clients and industry executives, synthesize data from public sources and proprietary databases, and publish findings that shape how our clients think about their markets and the opportunities in front of them.
* You will own 4 industry deep-dive reports and 48 shorter insights, these shorter insights can range from the macro to the micro and include data on changing industries, new regulation, or case studies highlighting specific ways companies can improve.
Examples of what you'll produce:
See our Quarterly Automotive Manufacturing Report and weekly industry insights on LinkedIn.
What Else You'll Do:
· Support client research and analysis for pitches and presentations as needed
· Prepare and brief Seraph team members before they present insights on webinars, at conferences, or in client meetings
· Join client meetings and webinars to contribute and, eventually, present yourself
