Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Civil Engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure programmes of work.
About the Role
* As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for managing site engineers and supporting the Site Agent and supervisors with the day-to-day running of the site.
* You will also be responsible for ensuring exemplary health, safety, environmental and quality performance on site.
* Your role will involve quality control, understanding of specifications, and DWI requirements.
* You will provide engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered.
* In addition, you will take a proactive approach to resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
* You will be responsible for providing and maintaining setting out and dimensional control, to ensure accurate construction of the work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage site engineers and support the Site Agent and supervisors with the day-to-day running of the site.
2. Support the site agent to deliver high-quality health, safety, environmental, and quality performance.
3. Responsible for quality control, understanding of specifications, and DWI requirements.
4. Provide engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered.
5. Take a proactive approach to resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
6. Responsible for providing and maintaining setting out and dimensional control, to ensure accurate construction of the work.
Qualifications and Experience
* Educated to degree standard in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
* At least 5 years' experience in large-scale infrastructure programmes of work ideally within the water sector.
* Able to plan ahead and effectively delegate tasks to the engineering team.
* An appropriate and valid CSCS / CSR card.
* Sound knowledge of latest building regulations, legislation, and Health and Safety.
* Working knowledge in Microsoft Office packages.
* Full Manual UK driving license essential.
* Good communication skills (verbal and written) and able to engage with all stakeholders at all levels.
* Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organizational skills.
