Principal Structural Engineer – Galway Atkins Réalis is a world‑leading engineering consulting organisation with offices across Ireland.
We are looking for a Principal Structural Engineer to join our Galway office and lead multidisciplinary design teams on commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial and education projects.
Your role Lead structural design and oversight of all structural aspects of projects.
Design input, calculations and preparation of design reports for planning, tender and construction stages.
Communicate design intent via Power Point presentations and email to internal and external parties.
Prepare fee proposals and site‑specific quality submissions for design contracts with public and private clients.
Mentor and supervise a small team of structural engineers.
Manage design budgets and financial aspects of projects.
About you Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland or Institution of Structural Engineers.
Experience delivering structural engineering design to Eurocodes and acting as lead C+S engineer on multi‑disciplined projects.
Proficient in MS Office and structural design software (Robot, Tekla Structural Designer advantageous).
Strong communication, interpersonal and prioritisation skills.
