Job Description
A Quantity Surveyor is required to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating tender big and pre-contract activities involving reviewing project documentation, take-off projects, handover and presentation of tender bid to the team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent project management and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and strong Microsoft Office package skills and knowledge.
This role requires 3+ years experience in Estimating / QS and a minimum of a Level 7 Degree in a relevant qualification such as Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
The salary for this position is €60K-€70K, negotiable dependent on experience, with a company benefit package.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review project documentation and co-ordinate tender big and pre-contract activities
* Take-off projects and present tender bid to the team
* Check and acknowledge tender documents and amendments
* Select subcontract and material suppliers
* Enter pricing document onto estimating system and rate up pricing document
* Liaise with Clients Team during tender process and arrange meeting if required
* Identify scope for design alternatives and value engineering
* Appraise sub-contractor/supplier quotations
* Price up Prelims in conjunction with management
* Highlight any areas of concern/risk in cost proposal
Requirements:
* 3+ years experience in Estimating/QS
* Experience in MV/HV organisation (desirable)
* Minimum of Level 7 Degree in relevant qualification
* Excellent project management and organisational skills
* Strong Microsoft Office package skills and knowledge

The working hours are 39 per week with flexible hours from Monday to Thursday and 4 hours on Friday.
