Job Title: Trainee Technical Detailer AssistantDepartment: TechnicalLocation: Paramount Doors, KingscourtReports To: Technical DetailerType: Full-time, PermanentRole OverviewWe are seeking a motivated trainee with an engineering or CAD background to support our Technical Detailer in producing drawings, job packs, and technical information for production and installation teams.This is a hands-on learning role suited to someone who wants to build a long-term career in technical design within a manufacturing environment.You will receive on-the-job training and guidance to develop your skills in detailing, technical drawing, product knowledge, and cross-department communication.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in creating and updating CAD drawings for production.Help prepare technical documentation, measurements, and job packs.Review customer specifications, surveys, photographs, and quotation notes to extract key technical information.Support communication between Sales, Production, Fitting, and Stores to clarify technical requirements.Update and organise drawing files, templates, and revision records.Learn the company's products, components, and detailing standards.Contribute to continuous improvement within the technical workflow.Skills & QualificationsRequired:Qualification in engineering, CAD drafting, design, or similar (Level 6–7).Basic experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.Ability to read simple engineering drawings.Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments.Organised, logical, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.Desirable:Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or related industry.Understanding of mechanical components or assemblies.Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs).Exposure to 3D modelling software (not required).What We OfferCompetitive trainee salary: €28,000–€30,000, depending on experience.Structured training and mentoring from the Technical Detailer.Opportunities for progression to Technical Detailer and beyond.A supportive work environment with exposure to real-world projects.Long-term career development in a growing technical department.Ideal CandidateTechnically mindedEager to learnGood with detailPositive attitudeInterested in engineering and designLooking for a stable career pathJob Type: Full-timePay: €28,000.00-€30,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
