IT Infrastructure Engineer
About the Role
Kingspan Roofing+Waterproofing is a fast-growing business within Kingspan. With a fast expanding portfolio via green field sites and acquisitions, we are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage and support our enterprise IT environment with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 integrations and migrations, Intune device management, and local Active Directory (AD). This role is ideal for a hands‑on engineer who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about designing, maintaining, and optimizing secure and scalable IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including resource provisioning, cost optimization, and monitoring.
* Lead and support Microsoft 365 integrations and tenant-to-tenant migrations.
* Administer and configure Microsoft Intune for device management, compliance policies, and security baselines.
* Maintain and support on-premises Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
* Implement and manage Windows Server environments, including patching, backups, and high availability.
* Ensure system security and compliance in collaboration with security and compliance teams.
* Provide 3rd‑line support and act as escalation point for infrastructure‑related incidents.
* Participate in planning and execution of infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations.
* Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvement.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and system diagrams.
Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies.
* Hands‑on experience managing Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
* Proven experience with Microsoft Intune, including Autopilot, device enrolment, and policy configuration.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, etc.) and migration tools like Quest.
* Proficient in managing Windows Server environments.
* Solid understanding of Active Directory, GPOs, and hybrid identity with Azure AD Connect.
* Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell.
* Knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting (VPN, firewalls, DNS, etc.).
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Nice to Have
* Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ‑104, MS‑102, MD‑102, MCSA/MCSE).
* Experience with Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Purview, or Conditional Access.
* Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Azure Backup, Veeam, CommVault).
