The Member Services Officer plays an essential role in delivering prompt, professional, and member-centric support.
This role is key to maintaining strong member relationships and contributing to the smooth operation of the member services team.
The Role: what does the job involve?
: Act as a point of contact for members while building good relationships and strong rapport.
Respond to all member-related enquiries across multiple channels, including in-branch, phone, email, online platforms, and social media.
Assess personal loan applications (e.g. car loans, home improvement, education) by reviewing member documentation, affordability, and credit history.
Ensure all loan documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Assist in converting initial member enquiries into complete and accurate loan applications, ready for assessment.
Maintain fast and efficient loan processing times while upholding a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Contribute to a strong, member-focused lending service by actively participating in team discussions, process improvements, and service initiatives.
The Candidate: A minimum of an APA (Accredited Product Advisor) is required; QFA (Qualified Financial Advisor) qualification is highly desirable.
1-2 year's experience in the financial services industry, ideally within a financial institution, with a strong background in lending processes .
A third-level qualification is an advantage but not essential.
Strong member-first approach with a focus on delivering excellent service Detail-oriented and well-organised.
Team player with great interpersonal skills.
Clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal.
Eager to learn and grow professionally.
