Offer description

Job purpose

To provide first-class customer service and deliver high quality maintenance, service, fault diagnosis and repair of HGVs, PSVs and LGVs.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

This role is expected to grow and evolve over time and whilst the key responsibilities for the role are outlined below they are not limited to same


• Carry out fault diagnosis, service, maintenance and repair of HGVs, PSVs and LGVs.


• To carry out road testing and quality control inspections as required


• To complete all job-related paperwork in line with Harris and manufacturer standards


• To work within guideline standard times for all brands


• To always deliver professional and efficient customer service


• To work as part of a team, maintaining a good working relationship between colleagues and customers


• To liaise with the Parts department in relation to supply of parts as required


• To adhere to correct working and Health and Safety policies and procedures, highlighting any errors or safety issues promptly to Management


• To keep the working area clean and tidy


• Carry out warranty repairs in line with company and manufacturer guidelines.


• To participate in training and development programmes as required by the Company


• To undertake any other duties or activities as required


• 24 Hour callout may be required on a rotation basis for this job role

Person specification

As the ideal candidate you will demonstrate a strong, stable and productive career within the Automotive industry with a desire to achieve greatness and be the best in your field.

You must be a qualified HGV or LGV Mechanic to be considered for these roles.
Requirements


• Full clean B licence (HGV / PSV licence an advantage)


• Main Dealer experience an advantage


• Electric vehicle training an advantage


• Strong focus on a positive Customer experience


• Proven ability to work independently and with minimum supervision


• Ability to work accurately and efficiently under challenging time constraints


• Strong relationship builder and team player


• Flexible and adaptable to change


• Problem solver with a solutions mindset


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• PC literate


• Fluent English required


• Excellent attention to detail
