Job Title: Data Protection Professional
Description:
The Group Privacy Office (GPO) is responsible for creating and implementing data protection practices in a consistent, compliant, controlled, and risk-minded manner across the organization.
* Advisory function to 1st Line on implementing Data Protection Policies and Standards
* Point of contact for business owners to interpret Data Protection policies and standards in terms of processing of personal data
* Provide expert guidance on technical topics such as data subject rights, fair & lawful processing, data protection risk/impact assessments and privacy by design and by default
Main Responsibilities:
* Build collaborative relationships with partner functions and internal stakeholders to embed robust data protection and privacy practices within the organization
* Provide support and guidance to business areas on data protection related queries and documentation
* Assess change initiatives embarked on within the organization to ensure ongoing compliance with data protection and privacy regulations
Key Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience operating in a Data Protection / Compliance role
* High level of understanding of GDPR requirements
* Strong ability to identify risk and complete tasks independently
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Relevant qualification advantageous but not essential
