Job Description:
The position of Financial Accountant plays a pivotal role in managing the monthly close and supporting other accounting and reporting requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying principles of accounting and process skills to ensure high-quality and accurate financial statements.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage the completion and preparation of monthly financial statements, including review of subsidiary financial packages, reconciliations of intercompany statements, adjusting entries, and intercompany profit analysis
* Coordinate the monthly close process, including journal postings, intercompany reconciliations, assessments, etc.
* Review subsidiary financial reporting processes to ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies
* Manage and maintain the integrity of the Financial setup in the IFS ERP System
* Prepare and/or review monthly account reconciliations
* Assist with technical accounting issues, e.g., gross profit and purchase price accounting
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Minimum 2-5 years related post-qualified experience Prior supervisory experience or project management experience a plus Strong technical accounting skills
