Job Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Director to lead our site's maintenance operations. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prioritize and manage all maintenance activities across the site, ensuring optimal performance of equipment and tooling in alignment with production demands.
* Develop and implement a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensuring full preventative maintenance is carried out and missed maintenance activities are planned.
* Supervise and coordinate sub-contractors for work relating to maintenance, communicating and liaising with them to ensure all work is completed in accordance with their contracts.
* Monitor performance and quality of workmanship, dealing with any HR issues that may arise, and optimize equipment according to standard procedure to enhance performance and product quality.
* Manage maintenance material costs, developing a strategy to control expenditure, and stay current on changes affecting supply and demand of products and materials needed.
* Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility and conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
* Effectively manage technical support personnel to achieve required levels of plant and equipment uptime.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in a similar role.
* Strong people management skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure and manage to deadlines.
