We are seeking a commis chef experienced in preparing brunch and lunch meals for our award-winning cafe in Portlaoise. Enjoy daytime hours, 3 days per week finishing at 4:15 PM—no late nights or split shifts. Key Responsibilities:
* Food preparation and plating of brunch dishes, salads, sandwiches, and fresh soups
* Making breakfast dishes, specifically egg dishes
* Working in a fast-paced environment
Key Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
* Familiarity with HACCP (preferably holding at least level 1 HACCP certification)
* Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
* Dependable and reliable
* Passion and flair for cooking and presentation
* Excellent communication skills
* Good time management skills
* Fluency in English

* Has experience making breakfast, brunches, salads, and sandwiches
* Is flexible to cover up to 5 days occasionally to cover holidays
