We’re hiring a Senior Sustainability Engineer to join a growing consultancy delivering sustainable, high-performance new‑build projects across Ireland and the UK. This role offers the chance to take the lead on a wide range of high-impact projects across the UK and Ireland, shaping sustainable outcomes through technical expertise and design integration.
The successful candidate will play a central role in delivering energy assessments, building performance modelling, and embedding sustainability into all stages of design and construction. You’ll work closely with architects, engineers, and clients to drive best practices in sustainable design and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead energy performance assessments for residential and commercial buildings in line with Irish building regulations.
* Deliver advanced simulation modelling using IES-VE to inform sustainable design strategies.
* Integrate sustainability frameworks such as LEED and Home Performance Index (HPI) into project delivery.
* Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to junior team members.
* Ensure compliance with Irish and international sustainability standards throughout the project lifecycle.
* Collaborate across disciplines to prioritise passive design principles and energy efficiency.
Requirements
* Degree in Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, Building Services, or related field.
* Experience in Sustainable Building Services Design Engineering
* Strong proficiency with IES-VE and dynamic simulation modelling
* Thorough understanding of Irish Building Regulations and energy compliance.
* Familiarity with LEED or HPI certification processes (desirable).
* Clear communicator with excellent analytical and report‑writing skills.
