Ayrton Group have an immediate requirement for a Senior Health and Safety Officer working across a number of sites with a construction contractor in the Dublin region.This is an initial 6 month contract role with the potential for further extension.Key Responsibilities:Implementation and management of Safety Management System on-site.Management of all Health and Safety employees.Overseeing all subcontractors on-site.Conducting regular site audits/inspections to ensure Health and Safety compliance to Company and Client procedures/rules.Coordination of weekly Health and Safety meetings.Advising and instructing on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.).Reviewing existing policies and measures and updating according to legislation.Assisting in the initiation and organization of Health and Safety training of employees and executives.Inspecting premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).Managing, developing, and maintaining incident reporting and near misses and follow up actions, identifying root causes, and implementing changes to prevent reoccurrences.Preparing reports on occurrences and providing statistical information to upper management.Weekly/monthly reporting to client and site management.Key Requirements:Minimum of 5+ years' work experience in Health and Safety preferred.Minimum of a recognised Diploma in Health and Safety.Safe Pass and Manual Handling required.Experience in Construction is required.Experience with groundworks and demolition would be beneficial.Confidence to lead and manage a team.Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.Full clean driver's license.
