Our client, a well-established agri business, is expanding its Technical and Sales team across the Leinster region. They’re now seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Technical Agri Advisor to support their growing customer base, providing on-farm advice, nutritional expertise, and tailored product solutions.
The Role
You’ll act as both a trusted advisor and commercial partner to local farmers, building long-term relationships and supporting better farm performance through smart, sustainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Account Management: Take ownership of a designated customer base across Leinster, developing strong, service-led relationships.
* Business development : Bring in new clients from scratch, some of them may come from your own network.
* Sales Growth: Work towards agreed annual sales targets in line with business strategy.
* Technical Support: Offer expert guidance on ruminant nutrition, crop performance, and product selection, from initial consultation to post-sale support.
* On-Farm Advisory: Conduct regular farm visits to assess animal health, management practices, crop development, and environmental conditions.
* Sustainability Focus: Help farmers meet evolving sustainability goals through smart, compliant advice and support.
* Knowledge Development: Stay current on the latest developments in agronomy, feed technologies, and animal nutrition.
What You’ll Bring
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar agri sales or advisory role.
* Working knowledge of ruminant nutrition and crop production.
* A commercially minded and strategic approach to account growth.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A collaborative, goal-driven attitude with a desire to progress.
* Full Irish driving licence.
Desirable:
* Experience with crop walking and delivering tailored agronomy advice.
