M&E Co-ordinator A leading Irish contractor with over a century of excellence in delivering high-quality construction projects is seeking a proactive and highly organised M&E Co-ordinator to join their expanding team.

You will play a key role in ensuring all mechanical and electrical elements are planned, coordinated, and executed to the highest standards, in line with Irish building regulations and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities Coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractors to ensure works are executed sequentially and in line with the project programme.
Review M&E drawings and specifications to confirm accuracy, completeness, and buildability.
Assist in preparing and maintaining detailed M&E installation schedules.
Ensure full compliance with Irish building regulations, BCAR, project specifications, and industry standards.
Participate in design coordination meetings and identify potential issues or clashes early.
Liaise with design consultants to resolve discrepancies and technical queries.
Monitor the quality of M&E installations throughout the construction phase.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with safety standards and workmanship expectations.
Review method statements, risk assessments, and commissioning plans.
Act as the key point of contact between site operations, subcontractors, and design teams for all M&E activities.
Attend site coordination meetings and provide updates or circulated minutes as needed.
Support Site Managers and Project Managers with M&E-related queries, instructions, and technical information.
Assist in preparing commissioning plans to ensure systems are tested, balanced, and demonstrated satisfactorily.
Review and compile O&M manuals, certification, and final handover documentation.
Ensure all required M&E certifications and compliance records are completed and submitted.
Education & Skills Required Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Additional training or certifications in health & safety/building services are advantageous.
Minimum 5 years experience in an M&E coordination or building services role on Irish construction projects.
Strong understanding of Irish building regulations, BCAR processes, and best-practice standards.
Proficient in reading and interpreting M&E drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Good knowledge across HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, plumbing and general building services systems.
Familiarity with BIM, Auto CAD, Procore or other project management tools is an advantage.
Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Ability to work independently or within a wider project team.
Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification desirable.
