Job Overview
Patient care specialists play a vital role in supporting patients with respiratory diseases at home. They work as part of a field-based operations team, which includes healthcare professionals and sales specialists. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing customers and promoting products and services to key stakeholders in hospitals and community integrated teams across County Tipperary and surrounding areas.
The main activities of the role include:
* Setup/installation of homecare devices such as CPAP, NIV, invasive ventilation, diagnostics, and cough assist at patient homes and hospital locations.
* Manage patient home installations, clinic installations/support, training, and compliance activities with patients and clinicians.
* Follow up with patients post-installation: telephone calls, post-install home visits, and compliance follow-up. Communication with prescribing centers is also necessary.
* Support clinical training and educational workshops in key centers within the region.
* Attend respiratory conferences/meetings when required.
The successful candidate will interact daily with patients, their families/carers, and various healthcare professionals. This requires exceptional organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills. Proven ability to present, train, mentor, and influence is essential.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Qualified nurse with experience in hospital and/or homecare environments.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills.
* Ability to present, train, mentor, and influence customers.
* Computer literate/practical working IT skills.
* Full driving license (manual).
