We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Assistant Manager to join the leadership team at the Tower Hotel, Waterford, part of the Neville Hotel Group.
This is a key role within the hotel, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior management while leading day-to-day operations on the ground and driving exceptional guest experiences.
The Role
This is a full-time leadership position reporting to the General Manager and Operations Manager. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the effective running of the hotel, ensuring operational standards are delivered consistently while leading and developing the team.
Key Responsibilities
Support the General Manager and Operations Manager in the smooth running of the hotel
Take the lead on shift, acting as the senior point of contact for team members and guests
Drive high standards across all departments, ensuring consistency in service delivery
Lead, coach, and motivate team members to achieve their best performance
Assist with training and development, helping to build a strong and engaged team
Ensure excellent guest experiences by anticipating needs and resolving issues efficiently
Coordinate and oversee conferences, events, and group bookings during your shift
Maintain strong communication between departments to ensure seamless operations
Monitor and support adherence to company procedures, financial controls, and standards
Handle escalated issues and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
Participate in duty management shifts, including occasional night cover
About You
Minimum 2+ years' experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within hospitality
A confident leader with the ability to take charge and make decisions when required
Strong focus on guest experience and service excellence
Organised, adaptable, and solutions-focused
A team player who thrives working closely with senior management
Ambitious with a desire to grow within a progressive hotel group
