The Law Society is inviting applications for an AML Officer to join the newly established AML unit within the Regulation Department.
The successful candidate will be part of a small team assisting the Head of AML in delivering the Law Society's AML strategy, leading best practice in the implementation of AML measures and ensuring the Law Society meets its competent authority responsibilities relating to AML/CFT and Money Laundering.
Main duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate appointed to this executive role will carry out a variety of duties in line with the operational standards and strategic objectives of the Regulation Department, to include
Management, co-ordination and development of internal reporting systems
Drafting and submission of statutory reports to external bodies
Liaison with internal and external stakeholders
Co-ordination of data, statistical analysis and report production relating to anti-money laundering compliance
Co-ordination of AML Helpline
Development of unit administrative framework
Preparation of documentation for regulatory meetings
Knowledge and skills
A minimum of three years experience in a similar or administrative role
Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills with an ability to multi-task in a high paced setting
Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams
Proven skill at communicating and building relationships with professionals
Strong knowledge of and proficiency in various IT systems, particularly database systems
Experience of external stakeholder engagement
High level of discretion and the corresponding ability to handle sensitive information with integrity
Experience working in a legal or compliance related area
Operational knowledge of goAML reporting portal
