Emerald Locums is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Dietitian to join one of our valued clients in an acute hospital setting in County Kildare. This role focuses on the delivery of high-quality nutritional care to adult inpatients and outpatients, working closely with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver specialised nutritional assessment and intervention to adult patients with a wide range of clinical conditions
* Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, speech and language therapists, and other allied health professionals
* Contribute to care planning, discharge support, and follow-up care
* Provide expert dietary advice for patients requiring nutritional support, enteral feeding, or therapeutic diets
* Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development
* Support junior staff and students where applicable
Requirements
Essential:
* CORU registration as a Dietitian
* Relevant degree in Human Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent
* Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, ideally in acute care
* Strong clinical knowledge in adult nutrition and dietetics
* Excellent communication, time management, and documentation skills
Desirable
* Experience in a hospital setting managing complex nutritional needs
* Familiarity with HSE systems and hospital discharge processes
