Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Position Summary:
The successful candidate will be joining a fast-paced engineering team working across multiple Stryker Divisions.
They will have the opportunity to develop through both internal and external training programs and will be given the opportunity to grow their career in a dynamic production environment.
This individual will be required to use their engineering expertise in making key decisions while working to the Stryker mission values of Integrity, Accountability, People, and Performance.
Experience within the following fields is preferable but not essential, CNC machining, Process Validation, Coating or Clean and Pack.
The successful candidate will help foster a work environment of continuous improvement that supports Stryker commitment to the Quality Policy, Quality System, and the appropriate regulations for the manufacturing environment.
This individual will offer mentorship within the team and will be a key contributor to key strategies within the engineering team.
Ownership of the plant metrics from an engineering perspective.
Technical and operational support to manufacturing operations.
Proven Structured problem-solving methodologies.
Engage in the implementation of lean manufacture within manufacturing.
Support process development and cost reduction activities within the business units.
Provide leadership to other Manufacturing Engineers and or Technicians as required.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills:
Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience is required.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
Confident and effective decision maker, with a proven leadership ability to negotiate and influence others.
Excellent presentation and written / verbal communication skills.
Strong communication and influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
The ability to work effectively within a cross functional team.
Proven Project Management skills through the delivery of cost saving/process improvement projects.
Capable of technical leading, influencing and providing technical direction to fellow Engineers, Co-op Students, Technicians and operators as required.
Demonstrable analytical & problem-solving skills resulting in tangible results to the business.
Show an ability to prioritise issues based on the business need and be able to manage multiple tasks and projects.
