Financial Operations Specialist
We are seeking a qualified financial operations specialist to join our team in Roscommon.
About the Role:
The financial operations specialist will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making. This includes preparing and maintaining financial statements, reports, and records, as well as analysing monthly management accounts and presenting at meetings.
Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and trial balances.
* Analyse financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate processing.
* Monitor budgets and forecasts to provide insights and variance analysis.
* Ensure compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations.
* Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
* Support financial planning and analysis for business growth by providing financial insights and recommendations.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) preferred.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
* Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
