Transport & Operations ManagerLocation: Horizon Business Park, Dublin North Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Reporting to: Managing DirectorAbout the RoleWe're looking for an experienced Transport Manager & Operations Manager to take ownership of our transport operations. This is a newly created role with plenty of scope to grow into a senior position as the business continues to expand.You'll be responsible for managing drivers, overseeing multiple customer contracts, ensuring compliance, controlling costs, and driving efficiency. As the main point of contact for both drivers and customers, you'll play a critical role in delivering outstanding service and keeping our operations running smoothly.What You'll DoManage daily transport schedules and driver rosters across multiple contracts.Act as the key contact for customers - handling updates, delays, and changes.Recruit, onboard, and support drivers; organise cover for holidays/absences.Ensure compliance with all regulations (driver hours, tachographs, CPC, vehicle maintenance).Monitor costs (fuel, maintenance, suppliers) and drive efficiency improvements.Handle calls, queries, and escalations quickly and professionally.Work closely with warehousing and logistics teams to ensure seamless service.Track KPIs and report results directly to the Managing Director.What We're Looking ForPrevious experience in a transport operations or planning role.Proven ability to manage drivers and deliver on multiple customer contracts.Strong customer service skills - confident handling issues and changes.Good knowledge of transport compliance and legislation.Highly organised, commercially minded, and solutions-focused.Strong IT skills with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to different systems (e.g. Azyra, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)What We OfferCompetitive salaryCompany pensionFlexible working where possibleCompany phonePaid travel expensesFree on-site parkingEnd-of-year performance bonusCareer development in a growing businessJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €45,000.00-€50,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company pensionEmployee assistance programWork from homeExperience:Transportation management: 2 years (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
