Our purpose is to nourish the world, while safeguarding our environment for future generations.Reporting to the Site Manager and based in our Ballitore site, we are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join the team.Key Responsibilities:Plan, organize, and direct optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectationsResponsible for the execution of the production plan and ensuring demands of central planning and customers can be met by the Ballitore teamManage operations team through the shift managersCover for shift managers where necessaryManage local IR issue with trade unionEmbed 3M process in the operations teamChairs Weekly Operations Meeting (Tier2)/ Manages Actions from the same.Owner of equipment from a change control standpointResponsible for Production related downtime (CIPs, startups, adherence to production schedule)Accountable for adherence to all quality and EHS systemsResponsible for environment health and safety performance/behaviour of the operations team.Manage production facing contractsCleaners, contract forklift driversResponsible for embedding values and behaviours amongst operation teamFeedback to SLT stakeholders on management processes and in particular, highlight issues that impact upon the operations teamIncrease production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standardsBe responsible for production output and finished product qualityAllocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal resultsImplement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus to the production teamWork with the HR Business partner to recruit, manage and develop plant staffLeadership role in the operational management of the Plant playing a key role in the delivery of the core Plant KPIsActively lead and promote a culture of Safety, Compliance, Excellence and Continuous Improvement within the Operations teamsInput to Ballitore’s Change Control management system in line with the requirements of the production environmentContinuously improve operating performance through development and implementation of strategies for capacity enhancement, customer fulfilment & efficiencyKey Requirements:Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management role in a food manufacturing or pharmaceutical environmentAdvanced organisation and planning skills.Demonstrated knowledge of RCA tools (Root Cause Analysis) and lean manufacturing techniques.Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Process Improvement or product development,Results driven, customer focused with high performance capability in a fast moving challenging business environmentDemonstrate strong technical ability and attention to detail to do the job at a high level of accomplishmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to bring people with them for the best outcomesAbility to analyse data, recognise trends and recommend actions to drive continuous improvementAbout usThrough our expertise in research and development, customer insights, food safety and state-of-the-art manufacturing we bring innovative food and nutrition solutions to a global market.
