Assistant Lecturer Access to Apprenticeship Programmes (2 Posts) (Fixed-Term Wholetime) (Reference: 142b/2025) The appointee will report to the Head of Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship, School of Mechanical Engineering. The appointee will be responsible for the efficient and effective academic delivery including teaching, coordination, recruitment, assessment, quality assurance, development and research activities of the Access to Apprenticeship programme in the Technological University Dublin. Including student support, mentoring, guidance relevant to work practices. Maintaining appropriate records and post programme tracking to support student progression routes. They will be required to participate as needed in all relevant committees, outreach activities and Erasmus+ projects. The post holder will be expected to ensure that there are strong relationships developed across the community sector including youth organisations, community training centres, youth employment schemes and schools, as well as supporting the programmes engagement with industry. Working in cooperation with the programmes team to promote programme activities, including student work placements and events to achieve programme outcomes. Participate in School and Discipline activities and teaching as required. Hours of Work:This is a wholetime post. In addition to teaching hours (up to 18hours per week), attendance is required from Monday to Friday during the general working hours of the School and University. Location: The post will be based at one of the TU Dublin Campuses i.e. Aungier Street, Bolton Street, Grangegorman, Blanchardstown or Tallaght. Regular attendance at other sites will be required. Salary: The Assistant Lecturer Salary Scale is: €50,646- €62,479 €46,140- €62,479 (New Entrants) Appointments will be made at the appropriate point on the appropriate scale.
