At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to work for our client based in Dublin/Leinster area. This is a great opportunity for someone to work with a leading subcontractor in the construction industry and make an impact in an innovative and growing organisation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety policies and procedures that align with current regulations and best practices.
Your new role includes:
* Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures
* Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the workplace
* Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective measures
* Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote safety awareness
* Investigate incidents and accidents to determine causes and preventive measures
* Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
* Collaborate with management and employees to foster a culture of safety
Experience you need:
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
* Certification in health and safety (e.g. NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred
* Ideally 5 years of experience within the Irish market
* Full clean Irish driving licence
* Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager or similar role
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
