Responsibilities• Lead the preparation of comprehensive cost estimates formechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, piping, fire protection, and power distribution.• Review and interprettender documents, blueprints, and specificationsto determine project scope, technical requirements, and estimation parameters.• Perform detailedquantity take-offsand develop accurate pricing for materials, equipment, subcontractors, and labor.• Collaborate closely with design teams, project managers, and suppliers to ensure cost alignment and technical accuracy.• Managevalue engineering initiativesby identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.• Prepare bid documents, pricing schedules, and technical clarifications for submission to clients.• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitiveness and adherence to specifications.• Support bid strategy meetings and provide input to senior management on pricing risks, contingencies, and market trends.• Maintain and updatecost databases, unit rates, and benchmarking datafor mechanical and electrical systems.• Conduct post-tender reviews to analyze estimating performance and improve future bidding accuracy.• Oversee and mentor junior estimators, ensuring consistent quality and methodology across all MEP disciplines.Job requirements• Proven experience inMEP estimationacross data centers, commercial, and industrial sectors.• Strong understanding ofHVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, and plumbing systems.• Bachelor's degree inMechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or Construction Management.• Additional certification inEstimatingorQuantity Surveyingis preferred.• 7–10 years of experience inMEP estimating, including large-scale or mission-critical projects (e.g., data centers, hospitals, or industrial facilities).• Proficient inCostX,Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.• Strong knowledge ofconstruction contracts, tendering procedures, and procurement processes.• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability.
