Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist (Part-Time)
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client’s team on a part-time basis. This role is responsible for processing payroll, managing accounts payable functions, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $20 and $25/hr.
Responsibilities
* Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll accurately and on time
* Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
* Handle employee inquiries related to payroll and resolve discrepancies
* Review and verify invoices and payment requests for accuracy and proper authorization
* Enter and process accounts payable transactions in the accounting system
* Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment issues
* Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
* Assist with month-end closing procedures and reporting
* Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and financial reviews
* Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting
Qualifications
* Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll and accounts payable
* Proficiency with accounting software and payroll systems (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP, Paychex)
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
