RECRUITERS is partnering with a
leading global payments client
to hire a
Technical Writer
for a high-impact project within their
Checkout Services team
. This team delivers API-first digital payment solutions, including products like guest checkout, card-on-file, and secure authentication tools.
You'll play a key role in ensuring that all developer-facing documentation is clear, accurate, and user-friendly — helping external clients integrate seamlessly with cutting-edge APIs.
Key Responsibilities
* Write and maintain
high-quality API documentation
for a suite of checkout-related products.
* Collaborate with
Product Owners and Engineering teams
to gather technical requirements and translate them into clear documentation.
* Take ownership of documentation from start to finish, including testing and reviewing APIs using tools like
Postman
or
Insomnia
.
* Ensure all materials are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with evolving product functionality.
You'll Need
* Proven experience
writing technical documentation for
API-based products
.
* A deep understanding of how
APIs function
and how to communicate technical workflows to developer audiences.
* The ability to
translate business requirements
into structured technical content.
* Hands-on experience with tools like
GitHub
,
Postman
, or similar API testing tools.
* Strong writing, editing, and communication skills — with the ability to work independently.
Ideal Background
* A degree in
Computer Science, Engineering
, or a related technical field.
* Experience working in
Agile
environments with cross-functional product and engineering teams.
* Confident in stakeholder engagement and proactive in driving documentation strategy.
