The Business Systems team of Smurfit Westrock Ireland is responsible for strategy, implementation and support of various Business applications amongst others Business VantagePoint, OMP, Softworks and Artios. The IT Application Support Engineer will support the end users of the SW Ireland Core Applications. They will be involved in day-to-day support and maintenance of the Business applications and underlying infrastructure.
Main Tasks/Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
* Day-to-day support of Business application users
* Analyse issues reported via Service Desk and determine appropriate action
* Perform daily / weekly / monthly / other frequency operational tasks.
* Liaise with Smurfit Westrock IT Solutions community and third-party vendors to ensure appropriate service levels
* Application support required outside normal working hours when critical business application failure occurs only – otherwise no roster outside normal working hours
* Will assist in supporting all business applications and underlying infrastructure
* Communicates with all Business system teams
* Will keep documentation up to data
Job-requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in information technology, or equivalent experience
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Fluency in English, both verbal and written
