About the Role
Nationwide Relief Social Care Worker and Senior Support Worker Panel
We are expanding our services to meet the needs of those we care for and are pleased to invite applicants for Social Care Workers and Senior Support Workers to join our relief panel nationwide.
Being part of our relief panel allows you to work flexibly around your studies and family commitments while contributing to our teams across Ireland. Immediate availability is required in the following locations:
* Sligo,
* Leitrim,
* Roscommon,
* Galway,
* Mayo,
* Longford,
* Limerick,
* Kerry,
* Waterford
Our role involves providing residential and day services to children and adults with medium to profound disabilities, including those with life-limiting conditions. Our multidisciplinary teams are supported by psychologists, behavioral therapists, occupational therapists, and speech and language therapists.
Working on a shift rota, you will engage in daily activities, routines, and support for the individuals in our care, promoting their development, health, and wellbeing.
Essential Requirements:
* A qualification at Level 7 or above in a relevant field (e.g., Social Care, Social Science, Psychology, Education, Youth & Community)
* A full manual driving license valid in Ireland
* Eligibility to work in Ireland without Visa or Permits
Desirable:
* At least one year's recent experience in social services
Main Responsibilities:
* Support the daily running of the service and deliver person-centered care
* Complete personal plans in accordance with regulations
* Support individuals in their daily lives and choices
* Engage with families, clinicians, and community links
* Implement positive support programs
* Promote independence and community integration
* Stay updated on social care policies and sector changes
* Encourage and motivate individuals in planned activities
* Lead key working in collaboration with the individuals supported
* Assist with personal care and daily needs
* Work as part of a team, attend meetings, and participate in supervision
* Conduct health and safety checks and risk assessments
* Manage medication in accordance with policies
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and families
* Work flexible shifts, including day and night
* Perform any other duties within the role's scope
