Purpose of the Role
The Settlement and Billing Product Manager plays a pivotal role at the intersection of customers, IT development, vendors and revenue teams.
This role is responsible for overseeing the full product life cycle, from market research and opportunity identification to product strategy, development and performance analysis.
Working closely with technology and business teams, the Settlement and Billing Product Manager defines key product features, drives commercialisation, and ensures Settlement and Billing products align with the company's strategic goals.
The position also involves building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support platform delivery, regulatory compliance and strategic execution.
Responsibilities
Focus on Settlement and Merchant Billing Products within the Core Acquiring Products domain, supported across multiple Global Payments acquiring platforms.
Think strategically about Billing and Settlement product development to represent the need of Global Payments businesses to serve their existing and future customers.
Use a variety of techniques (customer visits, interviews, questionnaires, user observation, workshops, brainstorming, use cases, prototyping) to determine what Billing and Settlement products and features to build and enable.
Partner with the International product organization to understand key global developments and bring best-in-class solutions to market.
Lead roadmap planning for Settlement and Billing applications, creating well-defined product briefs, managing and prioritising the product backlog.
Drive new product design, development and product improvement activities by creating well-defined feature definitions and collaborating with Agile development teams across regions.
Lead feature/design workshops to drive alignment and creativity in solution design.
Work with other product managers, project managers and delivery leads to ensure delivery of product enhancements to Global Payments business.
Own go-to-market approach for the product, effectively communicating upcoming releases internally and externally.
Manage the product lifecycle, including end-of-life and withdrawal of products and features from the market.
Build business cases to obtain funding for product builds.
Consistently report product performance to senior leaders to inform decisions on roadmap and lifecycle.
Create and own measurement approaches, articulating business value for enhancements.
Work with finance, marketing and sales to deliver competitive pricing strategies.
Experience and Expertise
6+ years' experience as a Product Manager covering the full breadth of product design, development and life cycle management in a hardware or software solutions–based organization, ideally within payments, FinTech or eCommerce.
Passionate about delivering great customer experiences and bringing products to life that scale, representing the voice of the customer.
Growth mindset to continually refine and improve experiences.
Strategic thinking and clear communication of the big picture to take the business on the product journey.
Collaborative operator who brings together diverse perspectives and prioritises product solutions to deliver the greatest value.
Self-starter who can lead teams in a fast-moving environment and maintain momentum on multiple projects simultaneously.
Numerically minded with the ability to analyse complex settlement and pricing requirements while prioritising solutions as part of the product roadmap.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex issues to senior management and build strong internal and external relationships.
Preferred
Experience in Project Management, including experience using Agile and Waterfall techniques.
