Summary:
COPE Galway is seeking a highly organised and proactive Stockroom and Logistics Coordinator to manage the efficient flow of stock through our main stockroom, based at our larger charity shop in Galway City.
Supporting two busy charity shops, this role oversees the smooth and safe movement of goods, from donations received to items dispatched to the shop floor and delivered to customers.
The ideal candidate will enjoy hands-on, physical work, have experience in logistics or stock management, and be confident coordinating deliveries, collections, and volunteers in a dynamic retail environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
* Manage all goods in/out processes, including receiving, sorting, storing, and dispatching items.
* Sort and process donations, ensuring quality and efficient categorisation.
* Schedule and coordinate furniture deliveries and collections between shops, customers, and drivers.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised stockroom in line with health and safety standards.
* Implement clear systems to track and record stock movement and inventory.
* Identify high-value or unique items and liaise with the Retail Manager to maximise sales.
* Supervise and support volunteers, ensuring structure, safety, and engagement.
* Optimise stockroom layout and flow for efficiency and accessibility.
* Drive the COPE Galway van for collections and deliveries when required.
* Work with the Retail Manager to improve stock and logistics systems.
Experience & Core Competencies
* Experience in warehouse, logistics, or stockroom operations.
* Strong organisational and scheduling skills with keen attention to detail.
* Confident managing multiple priorities and coordinating logistics.
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, particularly with volunteers.
* Physically capable of safe lifting and handling of goods.
* Practical, solutions-focused, and collaborative.
* Full, clean driving licence (advantage).

Key Terms and Conditions
* Contract Period: Fixed Term 3 Year Full Time Contract
* Salary & Scale: €28,612 per annum
* Method of Pay: Monthly
