Manufacturing Engineer - County Westmeath

Job Summary: As Manufacturing Engineer, you will work on the conception, design, development, and installation of new products or production lines. Your duties will include improving production processes for cost-effectiveness and efficiency, resolving technical problems, and selecting precision tools for different machines. Problem solving and root cause analysis are essential.
Principal Accountabilities:
* Support manufacturing by resolving issues, providing tools, and implementing new products into production.
* Lead process optimization using engineering and continuous improvement techniques to streamline product flow.
* Establish resource requirements and material flow using industrial engineering techniques and standards.
* Analyze product structures and processes to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce costs.
* Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize manufacturing performance.
* Ensure company KPIs are achieved.
* Maintain compliance with ISO/TS16949 standards.
* Adhere to engineering change control, project budgets, and departmental procedures.
* Evaluate and improve quality control processes.
* Analyze production data including downtime, cycle times, and waste management.
* Ensure processes comply with policies and laws.
* Review costs and optimize workflow, space, and equipment placement.
* Coordinate maintenance and repairs to keep equipment operational.
* Ensure staff adherence to procedures and oversee technicians and personnel.
* Establish efficient work sequences.
Skills and Experience:
* Degree in Engineering or related Science discipline.
* Knowledge of automation, assembly, laser welding, robotics, validation lifecycle, Six Sigma.
* Supervisory experience is advantageous.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in CAD software.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
* Result-oriented approach.
