Healthcare Support Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide high-quality care to older persons, younger people with disabilities, and those with dementia or Alzheimer’s. Our centre provides a range of specialist care services, including care of the older person, convalescence, and rehabilitation care services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with personal care: bathing, dressing, toileting, continence care, feeding, and mobility support
* Support residents during mealtimes and ensure dietary needs are met
* Establish and maintain relationships with residents that are based on respect and equality and that promote their independence
* Observe and report changes in residents condition to Nursing Staff
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support with 8 modules completed, including Care Skills and Care of the Older Person
* Previous experience in the care of older persons
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to build strong relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
