Overview
As a DevOps engineer you play a key role in the delivery of critical technology solutions that support Susquehanna's business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the software development life cycle, IT operational processes, and strong systems thinking. The expectation is that you’re able to own the architecture and design of the systems and tools that enable automating and optimizing our operations and processes, build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations, as well as troubleshooting and resolving issues across our environments.
Your work will focus on:
Improving resilience of our systems in production
Provide technical leadership and direction for the DevOps team
Unblock strategic projects across the team
In This Role, You Will
Design, implement and manage our CI/CD pipelines on different platforms and environments.
Work closely with production engineers and developers in a tight knit business facing team.
Automate processes to gain efficiency and quality.
Administer and monitor different environments and systems health.
Manage and configure cloud infrastructure services.
Take an automation first approach in responsible areas including trading systems and development lifecycles systems and backup operations.
Help troubleshoot issues during testing and provide production launch support.
Provide support and troubleshooting on production systems including diagnosing and resolving post deployment issues, patching servers, implementing automated server hardening policies, investing / resolving and downtime incidents.
What We're Looking For
Strong experience in infrastructure support, deployment and monitoring.
Must have strong technical skills in scripting (e.g. Python, PowerShell etc.).
Experience in either Windows or Linux operating systems.
Experience in messaging systems, and experience debugging network protocols such as TCP, multicast, would be highly regarded.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD orchestration tools.
Exposure to deployment orchestration platforms (e.g. Octopus Deploy).
Proficiency with enterprise version control platforms (e.g. GitLab).
Understanding and practical application of security models (e.g., RBAC).
B.S. in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
Financial trade floor experience is a plus but not essential, training will be provided.
