ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support nursing staff in the Endoscopy Unit, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.Coordinate and manage daily endoscopy procedures, patient flow, and staff allocation to ensure efficient service delivery.Assist consultants and endoscopy staff during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while maintaining infection control and clinical standards.Monitor and evaluate patient care, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and national clinical guidelines.Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to nursing and healthcare staff, fostering a culture of professional development.Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and adherence to data protection and confidentiality standards.Promote continuous quality improvement by participating in audits, policy development, and best practice initiativesRequirementsRegistered on the General Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) – essential.Minimum of 1 year post-registration experience in the Endoscopy speciality – essential.Recognised qualification within the endoscopy speciality – desirable.Minimum of 1 year management or leadership experience – desirable.Completed management training programme – desirable.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification – desirable.Demonstrated clinical and professional competence in nursing practice.Strong IT skills with proficiency in relevant healthcare applications.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams.Ability to work independently, show initiative, and manage workload efficiently under pressure.Enthusiastic, motivated, and committed to continuous professional development.Proven ability to collaborate with staff at all organisational levels.BenefitsCompetitive salaryMaternity LeaveWeekend work allowance Excellent Contributory Pension SchemeCycle to work scheme Employee Assistance Programme RequirementsRegistered on the General Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) – essential.
