The ideal candidate will bring hands-on configuration experience in Workday HCM, security management, SOX compliance, AuditBoard usage for ITGC controls, data auditing, and report writing.
This role is key to optimizing HR systems and ensuring robust compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**• HCM Configuration & Functional Ownership• Serve as the functional lead for Workday HCM and Security modules.
• Review and optimize existing Workday security configurations to align with evolving business and compliance requirements.
• Configure and maintain Core HCM modules in alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory controls.
• Recommend and implement process improvements leveraging native Workday functionality.
• Lead Workday feature adoption, system upgrades, and enhancement projects.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system changes and provide training to HR and business users.
Workday Security & Compliance• Ensure SOX and ITGC compliance through strict adherence to change control processes.
• Manage security roles and permissions to ensure segregation of duties and minimize risk.
• Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams during SOX audits and quarterly access reviews.
AuditBoard Integration & ITGC Support• Act as a liaison between HRIS and Audit/Compliance teams for ITGC-related initiatives.
• Use AuditBoard to manage and document SOX controls, perform walkthroughs, and track remediation items.
• Support and enhance control documentation and evidence gathering for internal and external audits.
• Participate in the design, execution, and review of control testing to ensure compliance with ITGC requirements.
Ongoing Workday Operations• Own and manage the Workday Inbox to ensure timely processing of transactions and workflows.
• Support organizational structure changes (reorganizations, manager changes, supervisory org updates).
• Troubleshoot configuration and data issues while ensuring alignment with data governance and compliance policies.Data Auditing & Quality• Conduct regular audits of Workday data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity.
• Monitor and remediate data discrepancies in employee records, hierarchies, compensation, and payroll inputs.
• Promote and enforce data governance best practices across the HR function.Report Writing & Analytics• Design and maintain custom Workday reports and dashboards using advanced calculated fields.
• Work with HR, Finance, and Audit teams to define and deliver reporting needs, including audit evidence and control tracking reports.
• Use reporting tools to support compliance, workforce planning, and strategic HR initiatives.
**Qualifications**• Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Workday configuration experience, including Core HCM and Security.
• End-to-end project implementation experience in Workday HCM.
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing custom reports, dashboards, and calculated fields in Workday.
• Proven experience working with SOX controls, ITGC audits, and cross-functional stakeholders including internal/external audit teams.
• Familiarity or hands-on experience with AuditBoard or similar GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across HR, IT, Audit, and external vendors.
**Preferred Skills**• Workday HCM Certification or experience in a Workday consulting environment.
• Prior experience supporting SOX audits in a public company environment.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced reporting techniques.
• Understanding of HRIS control frameworks, audit trails, and change management best practices.
