Platform Engineer ****** Desired skills: Kubernetes, Terraform, Platform Engineering Platform Engineer - Kubernetes / Terraform A growing technology team within the financial services sector is seeking a Platform Engineer to help design and build a modern cloud platform used by multiple engineering teams.
This role focuses on building cloud-native infrastructure from scratch, enabling developers to deploy and operate services through fully automated, self-service platforms.
You will work across GCP and Azure, building infrastructure using Terraform and running Kubernetes (GKE/AKS) in production.
The team follows an automation-first approach, with infrastructure deployed through CI/CD pipelines and managed using GitOps practices.
Key Responsibilities Build and manage cloud infrastructure in GCP and Azure using Terraform Design and operate Kubernetes clusters (GKE/AKS) with tools such as Helm, Kustomize and ArgoCD Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) for infrastructure and application deployments Implement monitoring and alerting using Prometheus and Grafana Automate platform tooling using Bash and scripting languages such as Python, Ruby or Go Design secure cloud networking and implement IAM/RBAC and authentication controls Key Requirements Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, including building reusable modules Production experience operating Kubernetes platforms Experience working with cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows Solid understanding of cloud networking and security fundamentals This is an opportunity to join a team focused on building a modern internal platform, where infrastructure is delivered as code and developers can deploy services without manual intervention.
