What Youll Be Doing Making sure we meet and exceed HIQA standards, and that safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. Deliver high-quality care in line with professional standards, legislation, and organisational policies. Create a safe, therapeutic environment and contribute to residents ongoing development. Plan, implement, and review care and placement plan collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Promote resident rights and well-being across physical, emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual domains. Lead a dedicated team of support staff, supporting them to deliver care with dignity, respect, and kindness. Getting to know each residents unique personality, interests, and needsand making sure their care plans reflect this. Uphold recovery-focused principles, promoting dignity, respect, and positive regard for residents and their families. Encourage participation in training, medical appointments, and social activities, providing transport when needed. Conduct risk assessments for all activities and ensure safety protocols are followed. Assist in crisis situations, including the use of approved intervention techniques when required. Provide regular updates on residents progress, both written and verbal. Communicate any changes or concerns in relation to resident needs/care to the management and maintain accurate records of resident care, activities and observations Act as a keyworker for designated resident and support them during transitions or referrals. Provide support and guidance to family members or as appropriate. Assist with the daily operation of the service and ensure resources are managed effectively. Cooperate with inspections and implement recommendations as needed. Deliver highest quality of social care and assistance to residents as per their Care Plan Organising rotas, leading handovers, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Being the go-to person during shifts, offering guidance and practical support. Encouraging professional growth by coaching and mentoring your team. About You Youve worked in a residential care setting before, ideally in a senior or team leader role. Youve a relevant qualification in Social Care, Psychology, or a related field (minimum Level 7 on the NFQ) Youve completed formal registration with CORU including (where applicable) recognition of international qualifications or already registered with CORU and be able to provide registration upon request. Youve a Degree in Intellectual Disability Nursing and an active NMBI Pin Youve a relevant qualification in people management or leadership (desirable) Youve a full clean drivers licence and be prepared to drive company vehicles Youve a knowledge and understanding of scope of practice for all social and healthcare professionals Youre an excellent communicator and an organised leader.
