Join Our Team as an Infrastructure SRE Engineer!
Are you ready to take your career to new heights? We are looking for a passionate and skilled Infrastructure SRE Engineer to join a dynamic Cloud System Engineering team in Dublin! This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to global cloud service operations and ensure the stability and security of mobile services across the EU.
What You'll Do:
Administer & Automate: Maintain and automate systems to ensure reliability, resiliency, scalability and security.
Collaborate: Work closely with Software R&D teams to design, deploy and operate automated, resilient and scalable components/services.
Support Deployments: Provide networking support for mobile service deployments across different layers of the networking stack.
Monitor & Debug: Monitor and debug issues across applications, networks and databases. Provide technical resolutions and root cause analysis for high-severity network incidents.
Report & Improve: Develop timely reports on service metrics such as availability, capacity, performance and latency. Continuously improve system engineering operations by automating routine tasks and documenting new procedures.
On-Call Support: Occasionally provide ad-hoc on-call support (averaging one week every two months or less).
The ideal candidate should possess:
Education & Experience: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying and operating networks.
Networking Expertise: Deep understanding of TCP/IP and IPv6, with experience configuring and deploying VMs and Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
Linux Mastery: Strong background in managing Linux-based environments.
Problem-Solving Skills: A systematic approach to problem-solving, effective communication skills and a proactive drive to tackle challenges.
Certifications like CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, or RHCSA.
Experience with load balancing across different layers.
Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash or Python).
Experience using automation tools like Ansible.
