Hours: 37 per week, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Administrative Officer (AO) to join the Finance Processing – Accounts Receivable team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised individual with strong communication skills and a background in administrative and customer support.
You will play a key role in supporting the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, effective credit control, and high‑quality customer service.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Format data for import into the finance accounting system to generate batch invoices.
Create manual invoices and credit notes on customer accounts.
Carry out credit control tasks including issuing statements and copy invoices.
Take credit card payments from customers over the phone.
Resolve customer and supplier queries via email and telephone.
Process supplier invoices for payment using the purchase ordering system.
Review and post staff expense claims.
Maintain work trackers and query logs on Content Manager.
Essential Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate the following:
Qualifications
Two GCSEs in Mathematics and English, or equivalent.
Skills & Experience
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with colleagues and customers, both verbally and in writing.
Experience in an administrative support role that includes customer interaction (internal or external).
Proficient in using MS Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams.
